I founded WREAF in February 2005 as an outgrowth of an on-going series of wilderness art exhibitions I started in 2001.
Working closely with the Smithsonian Institution's Arctic Studies Center, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, Mad River Canoe Company,
Eureka Canada and Gary and Joanie McGuffin, we provide world-class artists with intimate and intense experience of wilderness to
inspire their art and prestigious venues for group exhibitions. The exhibitions combine expedition art with the work of researchers in the
field, all set within a framework of shared adventure on some of the wildest most remote rivers in North America.
