| Rob founded WREAF in February 2005 as an outgrowth of an on-going series of wilderness canoeing art expeditions he started in 2001. WREAF provides artists with the inspiration of extended immersion in wilderness on extended self-supported expeditions and prestigious venues for group exhibitions. Working closely with the Smithsonian Institution's Arctic Studies Center and the Canadian Boreal Initiative, The exhibitions combine expedition art with the work of researchers in the field, all set within a framework of shared adventure in some of the wildest most remote regions North America. |
